Nexco, exclusive AZOMITE distributor to Brazil, has an exclusive partnership with Massam LLC, the sole distributor of AZOMITE throughout Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean. The partners will be presented to the Brazilian market during the International Fish Congress in Foz do Iguaçu, PR. AZOMITE is a natural additive mined in Utah, USA. With a broad spectrum of over 70 metabolically active minerals, Azomite is used in aquaculture feeds for mineral supplementation and as a pond water treatment to stimulate plankton and algae growth. Studies of shrimp and tilapia supplemented with AZOMITE show marked improvement in animal health and growth rate.
Preliminary results in bananas at the Hacienda Don Alejo – April 16 ECUADORDon Victor Espinoza (not pictured), the banana plantation owner, met us at the Cumbre Banana Expo in Guayquil and invited us to visit his plantation, where the results with AZOMITE were phenomenal. Hacienda Don Alejo http://haciendadonalejo.com/es/index.htm Ing. Agr. Michael Zea (on the left) of FertiGreen (a division of Probac SA – Ecuador distributors), is overseeing the trials. Ing. Agr. Edison Sarango (on the right), head of production, expressed delight at the results of AZOMITE on the bananas– earlier, more robust shoots (10 times more rhizomes), uniformity of growth, less sigatoka negra, and the expectation of a 30 – 50% increase in production. In his many years working with bananas, he said he has never seen plants respond like this. Ing. Agr. Holger Mendoza, the plant nutritionist who prescribed a soil nutrition plan including AZOMITE, was likewise thrilled at the prospects of a record setting yield at this farm. The separation of the banana hands was another noticeable improvement – they expect a significantly larger and earlier harvest, both of which translate to a direct cost benefit for the grower. Representatives from Dole visited the plantation to view the plant quality and expected production gains. |
